Simulating with IRSIM

Hi fellows.. some useful hints to simulate on IRSIM

Example of an inverter on Magic: according to the last test the two only things you have to do in order to get a proper design in magic are: add both p-weell and n-well for your design and stick proper labels Vdd, Gnd, etc. The last test revealed you can overlay layers and the transistors implant  (p-transitor and n-transistor) are automatic generated.

IRSIM Tutorial Remember change the library libstdc++6-dev for or libstdc++6-4.4.dev during the installation process.

Magic installation

Hi folks...

Finally, after weeks of fighting against Windows to install Magic on it, I give up and I decide use Linux instead. After read and read many, many but many pages I could install Magic on Ubuntu 10.04.

Here it is a tutorial to do so explained in detail: Tutorial Magic Installation on Ubuntu 10.04. Don't worry is in Spanish.

Try to use Linux often.. you will be discover that is much better than Windows... although some little things are lost, but it's just get used to it...

Study Material

Hi guys

Surfing the web I found this interesting materials, please read it for next Tuesday and we shall discuss this in class. Of course this will be evaluated in the exam.

  1. IC fabrication: text file explaining all the process involved in the IC fabrication (in Spanish)
  2. IC fabrication web tutorial: excellent web page that present in a simple way the IC fabrication process (in (in Spanish)
  3. IC fabrication Facebook group. You see, Facebook is not only for "pulling the leg"!!!
Finally check out this video, a little bit old but very informative...
